There are three of these ugly guys in our trees this evening, and a forth that's either their female counterpart or a hawk. So basically, we're surrounded by birds of prey.If you don't hear from me within the next couple of days, you may want to come check for bones in our field.
They aren't one of nature's better looking beings are they! Great shot though - maybe you could stick it on the wall as a "reminder" to the kids...sorry - feeling evil!!

ReplyDeleteyou sure aren't in sunnyvale anymore! we get redtailed hawks, and i know there are peregrine falcon, but nothing as big as THAT in my neighborhood!
