Just a little something I would like to pass on
to all of you. Something I would like you to join
me in doing on May 29, 2006, Memorial Day.
At 3 p.m. on Memorial Day, Major League Baseball
games will stop, Amtrak train whistles will blast,
and thousands of Americans will pause for the
Memorial Day National Moment of
Remembrance.
Nascar, military installations, veterans service
organizations, schools, universities, hospitals,'
national parks, airports, bus lines, and the
International Space Station will also join in.
What I am asking you is, wherever you are
or whatever you are doing at 3 p.m E.T., PLEASE
join in this nationwide moment of reflection.
A great man once said:
"And so, my fellow Americans, ask not what
your country can do for you;
ask what you can do for your country."
Please pass this on to all the people
on your mailing lists so they will know
what is going on also.
It's time for us to stand together and show
our support for our Military now and for
those who Died fighting for the freedoms
we all enjoy today. It's time to be
an American!
My Thanks to all of you.

Hear hear. I'll put a comment on my blog after I finish reading the morning blogs.
And my thanks to you, Meg, for giving this a prominent spot on your blog. Happy Memorial Day to you and your family.
Thanks for the reminder. I planned to do this but I was worried I'd forget so I set my alarm on my cell phone!
Great reminder. I read it too late to say at a prayer at that time, but I think I'll do it right now!
