Wandering through Flickr, remembering the year through photos.
It was a hard year, but in so many ways, a very good year.
January:
We enjoyed one of our favorite beach spots
George learned to sit (fairly) still at the barbershop like a big boy
February:
Emma was having a rough school year, but growing so much as a person
Thomas Live caused George to nearly explode with joy
March:
Emma turned eight
The kids went on their first train ride
More trips to the beach
April:
Went to RideAble for the first time
Spring (and bug hunting season) began
May:
Sucked
But we survived
June:
We went on vacation (and caught more critters)
Enjoyed the beginnings of Summer, and learned how to slow down and enjoy each other
July:
A family reunion for the 4th of July, so much fun!
Pieces of home, far away
George turned six
August:
Met up with virtual friends in California
George's first time at the County Fair (something we look forward to all year)
September:
Kindergarten & Third Grade, both my babies in the same school
Getting used to early mornings again
October:
Our first sports experience...Hockey!
Rainy days
Halloween fun
November:
Missing Daddy
Spending time (in the cold) at the farm
December:
A special surprise for the kiddos
Traditions
It was VERY cold
Lego smiles and Transformer jazz hands, a perfect Christmas morning!
Thank you for joining our family throughout 2009, we're looking forward to a wonderful 2010!

Having only recently found your blog I really enjoyed the photos! Here's to a great 2010!
What a great review of the year! And I just spent the last hour continuing our work on that same exact same Lego set, I gotta say GO EMMA! Do you have it done yet??
It was a specific request from Liam this year and our website has a good reaction of his face. (third picture from the bottom: http://www.watrgate.com/2009/12/26/christmas-day/)
I think it's going to take us another week of work to get it done!
My son got the same Transformer mask. LOVE the photos. The Daddy Army Doll was my favorite.
Thanks for sharing these - I always love your photos. Many blessings to you and yours for 2010!
I love, love, love this post. I especially love the pics of the kids and their daddy dolls. So sweet.
